This paint is cracked with time and I count the days, or days as though they seem while I watch you dreaming. You're dreaming all the time. Your face is growing longer. Shake your regrets, if only for tomorrow. There's no blame to be had. If nothing else take my hand. If nothing else help me understand. Starlight come surround me. Give sweet reprieve. This of you I beg. Take a chance on me. If nothing else take my hand. If nothing else take a chance on me love. If nothing else help me understand.

Oh so proud and busy me, running around an apple tree standing in an orchard I've grown. The fruit is ripe and gone to seed. I'ts falling down in symmetry. I guess I'll see how far it goes. Ah, See how far it goes. Halfway gone and all the way there. Happily lost in auburn hair. I turned around and she was there. Parilyzed while my body cries out for what is newly prized. All the while my orchard is left behind. She walked into a life. She talked while singing of a life. Like a magnet on a fridge, I'm stuck to you so let me in. I need the cool to tame my fevered mind. So talk me up while you talk me down. Tuck me in while you come around. Share with me your secret dreams. She walked looking for a valley to nestle in. She talked while singing of a garden she'd grow.

Sailor's blood in my veins. The ocean knows my family name. Raised in church singing praise I found my own kind of grace. As the sky goes on fading I won't forget my name. As the leaves go on changing still I remain the same. Ran my mouth and fled my home. I got burned but now I know. When my back's up on a wall I've got a few to take to take the call.

Heartbeat 04:18
She said she won't want a thing from me But how can that be the case When her heartbeat is clear to me As we lay, lay to rest I feel the rise and the fall As my head lays upon her chest. And her hands are a mystery. When they let go of me I sense a lingering, And her heartbeat is clear to me Love come nearer and time steer clear of it all If this was my last chance I would've stopped time and stayed there awhile with her Even though it was 3AM And my back was aching from laying on the ground with her Because the way she looked at me That's the way I long to be seen Yes the way she looked at me, that's the way I long to be seen. To be seen as a heartbeat. To be seen, to be seen. But sadly I did not And time must go on.

Attention 04:19
She caught your eye. She stole your heart. It's hot in June, now that's a start. It's not an accident. It's just something of fates design. It's not a heaven send. It's just something to be left unexplained. It's not your predicament. It's just something that needs your attention. Go lie down beside her. Smell her hair. It smells so good. How's that fair?
6.
Always strong like iron wrought. Always strong, dear it's not your fault. I see sweetness hid neath a cross cast by sinners delights. It's not alright. Fierce as hell, strike swiftly, grace. Fierce as hell, dealt with gloves of lace. Loyal, loving, always hunting, Satiating. Sit by my fire if you would desire.
7.
It's cat and mouse again. They'll chase you 'till the end, And it'll be a bloody mess, At least that's my best guess, An ultra violent game of chess. Around, around you'll go. Where you'll stop no one knows. You might slip through the crack. Always running looking back, but you can't outpace a devil's pact. Doesn't this all seem beneath the two of us. Her voice is soft it purrs, Masking a heart that only yearns for a past in mind she should forget. No I don't mind being her pet. There's still so much to study yet. She's not the type to wait, Or cast her line with bait. Instead she'll take what she can see. So sad to know how love should be And be too proud to set it free.

Tender Eyes 04:07
Show me tender eyes and I will show you one that cries. Reaching for love. Hoping for a hand To help them rebuild a semblance of home in hearth and in in mind. Tear stained T.V. screens screaming out for what they've seen Human eyes see deeper meaning in me. Reminded this time that senseless or no storms must fall before they go. I'll grow my sphere of empathy To include a not so distant tragedy. The wind speaks foreboding Of that which we knew would come to pass in time In time, in good time. Show me tender eyes and I will show you a mirror, a mirror in mine. A mirror in mine.
9.
Spring is here. I can see it in your grace, That your world is full of life, as it should be. It's been my joy to see you to this day, when you're about to start a life with your love With your good love. I see a good life ahead for you. And so it starts out like this. The two of you next to the pew, oh what a view. And so it starts with a kiss. A blushing bride, a turning tide, Oh what you'll find. Oh what a word, what a word is future.

Home 02:59
I've seen these hills before. I know these towns and roads and more. I remember the smell of the air. I remember laughing there. Home is getting bigger the more I leave behind. I've made a hundred friends Who I will never see again And I made a hundred more They can take my bed. I'll take the floor. Home is getting bigger as I leave it behind. Still the sun seems brighter not knowing what I'll find. I miss birthdays and T.V. Shows. I miss more that no one knows. I miss holding her at night. It's good to miss someone right? Home is getting bigger, not knowing what I'll find. Watch it grow and flourish, I see it and I wish. And I wish for something I cannot describe. (I've seen these hills before) Something unreachable.
